Vibrant colored flowerheads arise on the upright stems of this shrub cactus. From spring to fall, pink blooms flower on the tips of the upright stems, and the flowers are surrounded by magenta leaves. The flowers last many weeks as individual blooms continue to appear. Violet Rose Cactus is an easy grower and drought tolerant. Give it a sunny spot and prune if the leaves get too big and unruly, however, be careful of the hidden thorns when handling.
